I'm a little disappointed, I'd give it a 6. Come on, you can do better.

A little over 4000 KIA in a little more than 5 years. That isn't a bad number. It's a war and soldiers die.

Then again, I guess you'd rather just sit around the campfire and sing kum ba ya with Al Qaeda and the Taliban.

Omigawd! War is teh bad! Can't we all just get along??11!

A little over 4000 in 5 years not so bad? hmmmm why dont you try using that line on one of these dead soldiers families and see if you dont get the hell beat out of you...Oh so the war in Iraq was started to get the Taliban out? Well I always thought it was to get Saddam out and find those pesky WMD's...well Saddamn is dead and the WMD's are no wheres to be found...so I guess his excuse has to be " Thurr's gotta be dem Al-Qaeda fellers over there, hell i cant tell the difference between any of em so they has to be thurr"..give me a break

no offense but the soldiers there now VOLUNTEERED to be there... not like they were drafted. whether the war is necessary or not it was there choice to be in the military.

I am 100 times more open minded than most on here about the topics we talk about.-Raider13

Re: The war that seemed lost...the surge worked!

That's not the point...the point is that because of 1 man, we are gonna have to deal with a nation that seems to be close to having nuclear capibility when there was already someone to keep them in check (who we took out)...all the while we are trying to accomplish our mission in Afghanistan which is legit. It's not that the soldiers are fighting, it's where they are fighting and the logistics of occupying a nation we had in check to begin with...not to mention one who produced a resource that we, as Americans have to have. I don't care what anyone says...but the truth of the matter is that you never heard of repeated gas price hikes of 10 cents to 25 cents at a time blamed on hurricanes or pipleline sabotage until the Bush administration came along. And that happened 1- because we chose to disrupt the oil flow from the middle east with a needless war, and 2- our society decided to let the inmates run the asylum in 04. In addition, a weak Iraq emboldened Iran...in turn giving us another headache to try to offset.
...And if you ain't down with that, I got 2 words for ya....

No, the truth of the matter is that over the last 8-9 years, China and India have become increasingly industrialized, which increased global demand for oil. Increased demand means higher prices.

You just want to blame Bush for everything. Is Bush to blame for that hangnail or that zit as well?

You want to blame Bush for nothing...and if you haven't heard by now supply and demand doesn't play much of a role in the price of oil according to the conservative spin machine...so if you are going to buy the supply and demand theory, explain why oil continues to rise even when inventories continue to rise. The answer to that has been speculators...which in no shape or form are tied to supply and demand...you are gonna have to make up your mind which you choose to believe. I blame Bush and his foreign policy.

Cute. And revealing of your blatant ignorance.

Join the military, you take the chance of going to war and dying. What is so hard to understand about that? The US military isn't a 'free college' program. Nor are the National Guard or Reserves a way to get a little extra money one weekend a month.

I thank God that your sort of thinking was either absent or squelched during WW2.

Did you miss the news reports about yellow cake uranium in Iraq? Over 500 tons of the stuff were found and removed. But yeah, no WMD's, blah blah blah, yadda yadda yadda, etc.

What is there to blame on Bush? Did he recruit the 19 hijackers? Did he pilot the planes?

Supply and demand apply to all goods and services in a capitalistic society.

Check to see what country they were from and see if it is on the "next to be invaded" list. And the yellowcake was from 1991. It is a media stunt to wait 17 years to remove it. Bush the first could have, it was counted then and ALL of it was still there when Iraq sold it. But the Cowboy spent US tax dollars to provide an escort. We would have been better off if he had been on one of the planes.
